Ešef Muradbašić krenuo je sa 13-godišnjim sinom Muhamedom na biciklistički memorijalni maraton Beč-Srebrenica, javlja Anadolu.
Muradbašić je 2021., sa svoje dvoje djece, Merjem (7,5 godina) i Muhamedom (9 godina), bio učesnik na Maršu mira Nezuk-Potočari i tada su pješke prešli oko 100 kilometara.
“Taj podvig je bio poseban trenutak u našim životima, simbolizirajući našu posvećenost sjećanju na žrtve genocida u Srebrenici. Ove godine, odlučio sam sa sinom Muhamedom, koji sada ima nepunih 13 godina, učestvovati na biciklističkom memorijalnom maratonu Beč-Srebrenica, dugom 1.000 kilometara”, istakao je Muradbašić.
Ispričao je kako su pripreme započeli dva mjeseca ranije u Sarajevu, a zatim smo se priključili ekipi iz Bike kluba Austrija u Beču, koji tradicionalno voze ovaj biciklistički maraton.
“Naš put je započeo u četvrtak, kada smo prvi dan vozili 200 kilometara do Slovenije. Drugi dan smo prešli 154 kilometra do Zagreba. Juče smo vozili 157 kilometara do Cazina, gdje ćemo se odmoriti dan i družiti se sa biciklističkim klubovima iz Krajine. Glavni motiv našeg putovanja je odavanje počasti žrtvama genocida u Srebrenici”, pojasnio je Muradbašić.
Naglasio je također kako je ovo način da se prisjete i podsjete druge na tragediju koja se desila, te da kroz fizički napor i zajedništvo pokažu da sjećanje na žrtve nikada neće izblijediti.
